At Advanced Implant and Periodontal Specialists, we have years of training and experience providing quality care to our patients in Winchester, VA.

Gum Disease Treatment Options

Non-Surgical

For most patients, gum disease treatment begins with non-surgical solutions, which are often more than sufficient for restoring full oral health. We typically start with deep cleaning, carefully removing tartar from the teeth and gums. Laser therapies, including full LANAP applications, may also be used, whether on their own or in conjunction with more advanced surgical methods.

Surgical

Our doctors may recommend surgical intervention for more advanced cases of gum disease or those who do not respond well to non-surgical treatment. Surgery involves the careful removal of damaged tissue and the regeneration of bone and gum tissue, as needed. All surgeries are performed with full anesthesia options, ensuring comfort and safety throughout treatment.
